It’s nice of you to ask. I had taken lots of classes at TechShop and made a couple of things I still use often. The cutting board class was great-fancy results.
I would like woodworking classes to create custom things that aren’t easily purchased or spec’d for me. I want to make a custom shoe storage rack/‘-possibly with drawer slides involved that would also accommodate boots and flip flops efficiently. Maybe shoe trees also-with a space on the rack to hold them while I wear the shoes.
If we could make custom hangers with shoulders as well as some that fit compactly on a closet bar. Maybe some from wood and some from metal or a vacuum formed idea? Anything to keep hshoulder dents out of my jackets/shirts. Closet organization is one area that could be maximized with a Great teacher and not too expensive of materials.
I would love to make a rack/storage caddy for my vacuum attachment tools. Almost a little parking garage for my vaccuum. Where it can fit perfectly but maximize closet space and easily be accessed.
Making piture frames would be very great. I have moulding that I bought as a lot from a defunct frame shop shop and am not yet able to make a usable frame.
Any help appreciated. Any questions -text is fine at 415-756-9856
As a woodworker I have many many years of knowledge I would like to share with newbies, novices, those starting out in woodworking as well as those who want to update their skills or learn some new tips, tricks or techniques.
I would like to transfer a lot of what I know to younger makers or trade techniques, tips and secrets with old hands - all before I can no longer stand or pass from this earth.
On the calendar is my Tips and Tricks for bandsaws class - Monday October 29th, 2018.
What other classes would you, the membership, like me (or knowledgeable others) to teach in the woodshop?
Such a class could be machine specific, working with hand tools, or how to plan your product process most efficiently.
